33 painted EU pallets, chalk, performance
In collaboration with Mats Gustafsson (saxophone) and a dancer from Kompani Dansehallerne
H 400 × W 1500 × L 1500 cm

Now unfolds as a performative installation occupying the foyer of Dansehallerne. Six hundred liters of chalk are poured directly onto the floor, expanding across the space and testing its boundaries. The chalk forms a shifting ground — an unstable field where movement, sound, and material interact.

Thirty-three painted EU pallets function as both objects and tools. Positioned like islands within the chalk, they become extensions of the painterly act — brushes embedded in the installation itself and activated during the performance.

I work directly on the unused white wall using different tools and gestures: sprinkling, throwing, drawing, and dispersing pigment. Mats Gustafsson expands the space through sound, while the dancer extends it through bodily presence. Our actions overlap without illustrating one another. The intention is not to synchronize but to coexist — to remain present within ourselves while acting in the presence of others.
