The act of painting is fundamentally dependent on material and process, grounded in a bodily practice that unfolds in the studio day by day, layer by layer, within an extended and unpredictable temporality. My work engages with the serial and gestural dimensions of abstract painting by questioning and examining the conditions of making and perception. I approach form as a field between the formal and the controlled, and the unintended and accidental.
