EUGENE DELACROIX TAUGHT ME HOW TO UNDERSTAND COLOUR HARMONY

VER Gallery, Bangkok, Thailand, 2011
Medium
Painting, video projection, site-specific installation.

The exhibition focused on colour as a determining force in perception rather than as representation. The works were arranged in open relation to one another, forming a spatial situation where colour operated across surfaces, objects, and projections.
Rather than presenting discrete, self-contained works, the installation emphasized continuity — making it difficult to determine where one work ended and another began. Colour became a connective material, linking painting, projection, and architecture into a single chromatic field.
Through simple gestures and concrete materials, familiar forms were displaced and reconfigured. The work sought to expose colour as an active condition in space — something that alters how the surrounding environment is experienced over time.
