COLORES APPARENTES

Colores Apparentes is a light installation presented at Haninge Konsthall in 2009, investigating colour as an experiential and perceptual phenomenon rather than image or symbol.

Light installation, fluorescent tubes, laminated glass panels, programmed lighting.

Description
. This exhibition investigated colour as an experiential and perceptual phenomenon rather than as image or symbol. Using light as material, the work unfolded in real time, synchronized with the viewer’s presence, pulse, and movement through the space.
Ten coloured, semi-transparent laminated panels were bent into vertical elements, transforming the room through constant chromatic variation. Each wall was equipped with a distinct light source, and a long programmed loop created the impression of irregular, almost random activation.
Rather than freezing light into a fixed image, the installation allowed colour to remain unstable, shifting between intensity and subtle afterimages. The work sought to expand perception and attune attention to small differences and overlooked transitions.
